Eleven years ago, I became a mom.  As it was the biggest surprise of my life, I was completely unprepared for what was ahead of me.  However, I was fortunate enough to have all the pearls of wisdom from my experienced friends and family... But let's be real here - motherhood is a bumpy ride and there's no amount of advice that can truly prepare us for the experience.  And besides - we are NOT our mothers... Or ARE we?
